Our Staff
A child’s relationship with his or her counselor can make all the difference between a great summer camp experience and one that is only so-so. We make it a priority to hire staff that can inspire, lead, motivate, reassure, protect and laugh with our campers.
We hire teachers or mature high school and college students. Although most of our staff comes from the local area, we also hire staff members from across the country and around the world. Every staff member undergoes a thorough interview, including criminal background check, and extensive training to prepare them to help your children get the most out of their camp experience. A staff member should be trustworthy, responsible, enjoy working with kids and act as a good role model. Staff members must be 17 or older.
Counselors at Bernadette & Fatima have a strong desire to truly make an impact in the lives of young people. We’re looking for counselors and staff who are willing to go above and beyond and lend a hand whenever needed.
Current Job Opportunities
Position: Kitchen Staff
Kitchen staff members play an important role at our camp. In the dining hall, they help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Around Camp, they help keep campers safe while being positive role models.
While on duty, you are responsible for any cleaning or tasks that the Dining Hall Director deems necessary inside or outside the Dining Hall or the Resident director. You are also responsible to help with any food deliveries that arrive during peak times if you are available.
Time Off (when you may leave campus on your own):
All staff receive 24 hours off per week. So during a two-week session, you get 48 hours.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the kitchen staff team, you are responsible for helping wash pots, pans, and dishes and the dining hall after meals to ensure that campers remain healthy. In addition, the kitchen staff members help stock the shelves, especially on delivery days, and clean the dishwasher, milk cooler, and dining hall.
You will live in a cabin with campers and counselors. This will give you the chance to interact with the campers and see our camp function as a whole.
Additional Info:
Weekly pay, free room and board, paid time off, fun activities at camp, and a healthy environment.
